a Govt. regd Council Registered under Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific & Charitable Societies Registration Act - 1955 .
The objectives included in the approved bylaws of the council are as follows.
a) We constitute and maintain an organization to co-ordinate the activities of various institutions engaged in Health Care Education and clinical Services in the nation.
b) We assist and guide member organizations to impart the best possible Health Care Education and Services to the sick, individuals, communities and needy of our country.
c) We provide scientific cultural and educational upliftment in the field of human health care and to create employment opportunities especially to the women of the weeker and under privileged sector of our society.
d) We organise seminars, symposiums, workshops and training related to various health allied education and evaluate the trainees / participants and to award the necessary certificates or awards to make them eligible to work in the respective field of their training and try to obtain the equivalency of qualification and certification given by the state / central or any other authorised Govt. bodies and to enhance the welfare of the employees in various clinical / medical establishments in the nation.
e) We make, adopt, vary, register rules & regulations, bye - laws and conditions for the promotion of activities beneficial to the attainment of the objects of the Association / Society / council.
f) We promote any other activity in furtherance of the above mentioned objects of the association and do all other lawful act incidental of conductive to the attainment of the objects of the Association.
g) We establish cordial relation and contacts with Health Care services and Educational Organisations and also have co-operation with other association of similar nature.
h) We circulate among the members, information on all matter affecting Health care and educational service organizations. To prepare the young generation for attaining employment oppertunities in various medical establishments in and abroad.
i) We motivate the employees in the clinical establishments to maintain the development of different categories in the clinical establishments. We register the employees in various clinical establishments under the title NHC and enable them for their registration to the concerned councils.
j) We represent to Govt. & local bodies, matters affecting Health care and Paramedical educations and certifications and Nursing Service Organization and employees working in the same field.
k) We conciliate or help in conciliation of labour dispute related to Health care and Educational service organization by joint discussion, consultations, directly or through conciliation officers, Tribunal of Labour courts by appear before them on behalf of the members with severely or jointly. To engage the services of Lawyers, Councils, Solicitors and experts in any field of interest.
l) We edit, print and publish books and periodicals covering mainly medical, literary and cultural subjects and to bring the easy reach of common people.
m) We start cultural, literary, medical, vocational and self employment training programs as deemed fit by the Executive from time to time and seek proper recognition from the Government of Kerala or from the Govt. of India.
n) We motivate the affiliated medical training centers for keeping minimum standered in professional qualificaion, syllabus of studies, faculty, laboratory equipments, space and all other things which are needed to obtain the equivalancy of certification given by the state / central or any other authorized Govt. bodied.
o) We motivate the clinical establishments to keep the minimum standards and to equip them to obtain the registration / recognition / affiliation / licence from the concerned authorities / bodies / councils / universities with in the nation or abroad for their functioning.
p) We issue affiliation certificate or membership certificate to the affiliated institutions/organizations who agree and obey the rules and regulations of NHC.
